A drink for you, or the birds

I mix this up a 1/2 gallon at a time. Take about 1 tablespoon of dried calyxes and steep in hot water for 10 minutes. Stirring it around will help it release the flavor and color. I add a 1/4 cup of sugar for a little sweetness. This makes excellent hummingbird food if you steep the calyxes in 1 cup of water and dissolve in 1 cup of sugar.
